The goal of the bid is to persuade someone to choose your company.  Therefore, this is an exercise in persuasive writing, not in providing an encyclopaedic description of what your company is capable of.  Developing the final draft text will be an iterative process and should demonstrate that you have listened to and understood your client.

 

Client dialogue

Dialogue meetings provide a very valuable form of discussion and require a respectful exchange of views and information which can be difficult when the issue is complex and individuals have different stakes in the outcome. Dialogue can lead to more insightful and well-supported decisions.  Effective dialogue is hard to achieve. At MJL we can attend dialogue on your behalf, support the development of a structured meeting or present information.  We can keep the dialogue on track to give you more insight into the customer’s needs and allowing you to actively listen for content, meaning and emotions from the customer’ verbal and nonverbal cues.

 

Formatting and proof reading

Your bid presentation may seem like a small point but it can be the difference between your work being read and understood. There is nothing enticing about a wall of text, tiny fonts or endless tables. At MJL we will use white space, images, headings and boxes to signpost to the reader and make key information stand out. At MJL we can provide a proof reading service to weed out errors (typos, spellings, punctuation) before the bid is submitted.  We will not make substantial changes or rewrite the material.
